چکیده
We discuss Weyl anomaly and consistency conditions of local renormalization group in d = 1 + 2 dimensional quantum field theories. We give a classification of the consistency conditions and ambiguities in most generality within the power-counting renormalization scheme. They provide many non-trivial constraints on possible forms of beta functions, anomalous dimensions and Weyl anomaly of general d = 1+ 2 dimensional quantum field theories. We perform modest checks of our results in conformal perturbation theories, supersymmetric field theories and holographic computations. © 2013 The Author. Published by Elsevier B.V. Time-Dependent Real-Space Renormalization Group Method
In this paper, using the tight-binding model, we extend the real-space renormalization group method to time-dependent Hamiltonians. We drive the time-dependent recursion relations for the renormalized tight-binding Hamiltonian by decimating selective sites of lattice iteratively. The formalism is then used for the calculation of the local density of electronic states for a one dimensional quant...
متن کاملDetermining the Likelihood of Damage in Concrete and its Physical Structure
Applying renormalization group theory to evaluate the safety of overall structure, local damage probability must be obtained at first. According to the results of unit detection test and numerical simulation, the methods how to determine local damage probability was presented in the paper. For small unit, meaning the unit size is far less than the maximum primitive cell or the structure size, i...
متن کاملLocal renormalization group functions from quantum renormalization group and holographic bulk locality
The bulk locality in the constructive holographic renormalization group requires miraculous cancellations among various local renormalization group functions. The cancellation is not only from the properties of the spectrum but from more detailed aspects of operator product expansions in relation to conformal anomaly. It is remarkable that one-loop computation of the universal local renormaliza...
متن کاملA NUMERICAL RENORMALIZATION GROUP APPROACH FOR AN ELECTRON-PHONON INTERACTION
A finite chain calculation in terms of Hubbard X-operators is explored by setting up a vibronic Harniltonian. The model conveniently transformed into a form so that in the case of strong coupling a numerical renormalization group approach is applicable. To test the technique, a one particle Green function is calculated for the model Harniltonian
متن کاملA numerical renormalization group approach for calculating the spectrum of a vibronic system occurring in molecules or impurities in insulators
Theoretically, in order to describe the behavior of a spectrum, a mathematical model whichcould predict the spectrum characteristics is needed. Since in this study a Two-state system has beenused like models which was introduced previously past and could couple with the environment, theformer ideas have been extended in this study. we use the second quantized version for writing thisHamiltonian...
